If you want to use the WordPress multisite system at WPScale, here's how you should proceed :
1. Having the right offer
Only the 10 WP offer allows use of the multisite system, so if you have a different offer, you need to read the following article to find out how to move to the higher offer: How to upgrade to a higher offer.
2. Choose configuration
For sites in your network, you can choose to use different subfolders, subdomains, or domain names.
- If you want to use subfolders, you just have to give us the names of these folders so that we can set them up.
- If you wish to use subdomains, you need to install the WordPress Multi Domain Mapping plugin and give us the names of these subdomains so that we can set them up.
- If you wish to use different domain names, you need to purchase the following plugins and send us these domain names so that we can set them up : WPMU Dev Domain Mapping.
3. Contact us
The WordPress administration panel gives instructions to add in the .htaccess file. However, as these files are not compatible with our servers under NGINX (see the article WPScale and .htaccess files), you must then contact us so that we can activate the multisite manually on your main site: Contact us.
Please note: in your message, you must always specify the subfolders, subdomains or domain names to be added in your configuration.
